The International Maritime Dangerous Goods or IMDG

IMDG code was adopted in 1965 under the SOLAS (Safety for Life at Sea) Convention of 1960 under IMO. The IMDG Code has been established to prevent all types of marine pollution. The IMDG code also ensures that goods transported by sea are packaged in such a way that they can be transported safely. The dangerous goods code is a uniform code and is the code that is applied to all cargo ships worldwide.
